A photogenic lighthouse built by Trinity House in 1867 and automated in 1923. The lighthouse was built to guide vessels through the western approaches to the Solent.The lighthouse stands alongside Hurst Castle and stands 23 m tall (75 ft) . The lighthouse house colour and setting make this an appealing photographic subject.
